SYSLEAVE=



Specifies an amount of memory to leave reserved for normal SAS System termination

Syntax

SYSLEAVE= n | nK | nM | nG | MIN | MAX | hexX

n | nK | nM | nG
specifies the amount of memory to reserve in bytes (n), kilobytes (nK), megabytes (nM), or gigabytes (nG).

MIN
sets the amount of memory to reserve to 512 bytes.

MAX
sets the amount of memory to reserve to 262,144 bytes.

hexX
specifies the amount of memory to reserve as a hexadecimal number. The number must be followed by an X, as in hexadecimal-valueX.


Details

The SYSLEAVE= system option specifies an amount of memory to leave unallocated so that the SAS System can attempt to terminate normally when error recovery code is initiated.

Under OpenVMS, the suggested SYSLEAVE= values are integers from 512 to 262,144.
