Janette Barrington (Ph.D)

Janette Barrington is a doctoral candidate in Educational Technology at Concordia University, and has a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from Bath University in the U.K. Her Ph.D. research is titled: “Learning teams: A communities-of-practice approach to integrative course design in higher education.” She is especially interested in further developing an interdisciplinary approach to collaborative course design.

Janette is a Teaching Consultant at the Concordia Centre for Teaching and Learning Services, specializing in faculty development workshops on course design, team learning, and the teaching dossier. She also teaches a Ph.D. seminar in university teaching and coordinates the development of web-based resources.
