Cheryl Amundsen

Cheryl Amundsen is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University. Before coming to Simon Fraser University, she was a faculty member at McGill University for ten years, jointly appointed to the Centre for University Teaching and Learning (CUTL) and the Department of Educational Psychology. Her interests in teaching development in higher education and learning technologies are tightly interwoven with the focus of her research and scholarly activities. She is principal investigator in a research team with colleagues at McGill University and Concordia University, both in Montreal. The research program focuses on how university professors develop pedagogical knowledge in relationship to their subject matter, how they come to understand teaching, how they make instructional decisions, including the integration of various technology applications, and the effects of these aspects on student attitude and learning.
