Innovations in Patient Care: Improving Connectivity
2014, Summit Innovation The Shock of the Possible, Future of Work, Health, Media + Information
SFU Public Square convened a roundtable on Innovations in Patient Care: Improving Connectivity with a small group of thought leaders, practitioners and health industry innovators, to address emerging issues related to technology, big data and social connectivity, and their impact on patient health in BC. This roundtable coincided with Innovation Boulevard's second annual industry gathering taking place on the same day, which brought together health technology and innovation leaders from across the region to learn more about Innovation Boulevard’s rapid success, hear from industry experts, and experience some of the technologies spun out of this uniquely collaborative and high-energy project.
Opening remarks were provided by Mayor Dianne Watts, Innovation Boulevard Chair Ryan D’Arcy, and SFU President Andrew Petter at a morning breakfast reception commencing at 7:30am. The working roundtable session followed and operated under Chatham House Rule1 to enable a candid and focused discussion. A summary communiqué will be produced and distributed.
1 When a meeting, or part thereof, is held under the Chatham House Rule, participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed
