On July 9th, 2021, Sanjay Jeram spoke to CBC Radio One about key issues that are important leading up to a federal election, which is likely to occur in the fall.

The first focuses on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's announcement that the federal government will be working with the B.C. government over the next five years to achieve affordable childcare in B.C. Specifically, Trudeau stated that it will cost an average of ten dollars a day for parents to send their child (aged six and under) to a regulated facility.

The second is Jody Wilson-Raybould's announcement that she will not run again federally. Wilson-Raybould was formerly the federal Liberal Minister of Justice and Attorney General. She is now an Independent MP. The larger discussion surrounding this is how inclusive is Parliament?
