New faculty
Dr. Radoslav Dimitrov becomes SFU Political Science's new associate professor
On July 1st, 2021, associate professor Radoslav Dimitrov joined the Department of Political Science faculty.
Professor Dimitrov comes to SFU after teaching at Western University for 17 years. He has also participated in United Nations' conferences for 20 years, representing the European Union in international climate change negotiations and helping to negotiate the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
At SFU, Dimitrov's teaching focus will be on international relations, diplomacy and negotiations, climate change negotiations, persuasion and policymaking, and global governance and international institutions.
This fall, he will be teaching POL 349, Global Climate Change Politics. This course will focus on international negotiations and recent agreements that define the global response to the problem, and how they portray the global politics around the issue.
