A bowling ball is weighed by a spring scale, in air and immersed in water. The scale reading drops after it has been submerged.

Equipment
- [1] Bowling ball with an eye hook
- [1] 100 N spring scale
- [1] Tank of water
Script
- Hang the bowling ball on the spring scale and measure its weight in air.
- While still attached to the spring scale, submerge the bowling ball in the tank of water.
- Measure the weight of the bowling ball in water.
