A small wire loop emits waves received by an AM radio.
Details
Equipment
- [1] AM radio
- [1] Lantern battery
- [1] Banana cable
- [1] Insulated alligator clip
Classroom Assembly
- Attach the banana cable to one terminal of the battery using the alligator clip.
- Tune the radio to a quiet part of the spectrum.
Script
- Turn on the radio.
- Momentarily touch the loose end of the cable to the battery's unclipped terminal.
- Turn off the radio.
