Kelly Shen

Dr. Kelly Shen (PhD) is the Director, Operations for the Institute for Neuroscience and Neurotechnology (INN). Dr. Shen completed her PhD in neurophysiology at Queen’s University in 2011 and her postdoctoral training in cognitive neuroscience at the Rotman Research Institute in 2015. She has led several projects for The Virtual Brain, which most recently included the development of an automated multi-modal MRI pipeline for ‘big data’ from aging and neurodegenerative disease cohorts.

Dr. Shen’s role at the INN is to elevate neuroscience and neurotechnology research through the strategic development, design and implementation of INN programs. She also leads the INN’s informatics research and development team and is an integral part of INN’s open science initiatives.
