International Collaborations
Jamaica:
Meghann Ormond, Valorie Crooks, Rory Johnston, and Cristina Temenos traveled to Jamica in October 2012. This research trip aimed to meet with stakeholders in the health system and the emerging medical tourism sector in order to learn how various international, regional, and national policy networks are informing the growth of medical tourism in Jamaica. This research was funded through a grant from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.

Mongolia:
Tsogoo Byammba, Valorie Crooks, Craig Janes, Rory Johnston, and Jeremy Snyder traveled to Mongolia in April 2012 with the aim of developing a better understanding of the effects of outbound medical tourism in that country by meeting with local stakeholders. This research was funded through a grant from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.

Barbados:
Valorie Crooks, Rory Johnston, Jeremy Snyder, and Leigh Turner visited Barbados in March, 2011 to visit medical tourism sites and speak with medical tourism stakeholders. This research was funded by a grant from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.

Valorie Crooks, Rory Johnston, and Jeremy Snyder traveled to Southern India in February, 2010 to meet with researchers interested in medical tourism and to tour medical tourism hospitals. This trip was funded by a grant from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
