Celebrating Pi Day: The Math Catch Outreach Program's Newest Project
March 12, 2021
Pi Day is this Sunday! To celebrate, read about the newest initiatives from the Math Catcher Outreach program: a mathematical model of the traditional Tla'amin stone fish traps and the Small Number stories in French project. Also, check out what happened when Small Number went fishing with his dad.
Thank you to SFU, the Tla’amin Nation, Pacific Institute for Mathematical Sciences and the Callysto Program for working on a mathematical model of the traditional stone fish traps.
Check out the Math Catcher Outreach program's newest initiatives in this SFU News article.
You can also learn more about the fish trap model here.
