Caroline Colijn Featured in SFU's Scholarly Impact of the Week
December 02, 2021
"Basically, our models take what we understand about COVID-19 and synthesize that information into a representation of the system to which we can then ask questions. We take relevant knowledge – things like transmission rates, vaccine efficacy, how long infections last – and build a model so that we can test our assumptions and interrogate against what we know."
Our Canada 150 Research Chair Caroline Colijn was recently featured in SFU's Scholarly Impact of the Week.
You may have seen Caroline on the news throughout this pandemic. Learn more about her research on mathematical modelling and COVID-19 here.
