Grade 4-5 students in Metro Vancouver invited to create mathematical learning materials
March 13, 2020
SFU Mathematics professor Veselin Jungic created the Math Catcher Outreach program, which encourages Indigenous and non-Indigenous students in grades K-12 to gain a greater understanding and enjoyment of math. The program uses hands-on activities and storytelling in the form of animation to help dispel myths that math is boring and irrelevant to daily life.
