Gerontology conference when a scheduled student lunch extended many hours
beyond its expected conclusion. A small group of students at this
conference wanted to remain in touch with each other, for enjoyment of
othersĒ company and for support and encouragement through postgraduate
life. These founding student members included Ann O'Hanlon, Bettina
Becker, Demi Patsios, Elaine Argyle, and Mark Faulkner. Over the intervening years, the student network has become bigger
and more vibrant with regional groups meeting all over the UK and Ireland.
The BSG student network offers students many benefits including; 1) a
national email list giving students the opportunity to share information,
to ask for help, and/or to network with other students,
2) a bulletin board for sharing information on a range of personal
and professional issues, 3) a list of network members with
