Christina Neudorf - Research Scientist & Laboratory Manager

After completing a BSc (Hons) degree in Physical Geography at the University of Saskatchewan, Christina Neudorf was an MSc student in the Physical Geography program at SFU where she studied the sedimentology and micromorphology of till deposited by the Cordilleran Ice Sheet during the last glaciation in BC’s interior.

After graduation, she pursued research interests in geochronology, landscape evolution and archaeology at the Centre for Archaeological Sciences at University of Wollongong, Australia, where she helped determine the age of artefact-bearing alluvial deposits in the Middle Son Valley, Madhya Pradesh, India.

In 2012, Christina returned to Canada to continue research as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow funded by the Hakai Institute and to teach as a sessional instructor at SFU. She was Research Associate at University of the Fraser Valley, where, under the supervision of Dr. Olav Lian, she helps manage the Luminescence Dating Laboratory. She is now a Research Scientist and Laboratory Manager in the Department of Earth and Ecosystem Science at the Desert Research Institute in Reno, Nevada.
