Station 5

Figure 29a. Station 5, featuring watersheds.

Station 5 is also located not far from the Lillooet River, in the north central region of the Georgia Basin. There are three existing hydrometric stations (yellow) nearby yet these sample different watersheds than station 5 and have different stream orders than station 5. The station is situated at the mouth of a river of stream order 3. This is not an under-represented stream order in the Fraser group. I chose this location because there are not many streams of order 3 sampled this far north.

Station 5 can be accessed by a two-lane paved road (dark line). The station lies in a fairly flat valley which appears to be suitable for a helicopter landing site.
