Problems
-
Data collection: for my project, I need lots of human
factors data, which I could find some from the mdb table but still I have
to given up some important indicator such as medical services, drug/alochol
abuse etc.
-
When preparing data, it is very hard to find the relationship
between the census field to the image because all the mdb tables do not
have field names and it takes a long time to figure out the matching process.
-
Few of the maps are coming from the reclass of land use,
so I assumed that the "institutional" in the landaus means the schools
and "park" as recreational land. It might also have some error within
the assumsion
-
The given data does not included a detail GVRD public
transit route. Only Vancouver and Burnaby bus rout are provided,
which is not enough for my analysis, so I use the main roads map and assume
that most of the main roads have bus rout run through.
-
I use the boolean for all my analysis map which is very
restricted, it might miss some second best factors.
-
When doing the analysis, there are always some unexpected
area show up as the best criteria, such as the "West Wood Plateau" is one
of the high low income area which might cause a misleading decision.
-
The last and worse problem I have encountered is I crash
my computer during the last weekend and I lost most all of my html and
images files which I have re-do the web page in two days.
