FURTHER STEPS

This analysis is by no means complete; it is simply a starting point. In order for it be fully operational, more data should be recorded. This would make analysis more difficult, but it would make the research more comprehensive and meaningful. Neighborhoods, in this analysis, are taken more objectively than would be preferred. If more data can be analysed, it would be ideal to include more demographical information that is spatially located. However, in a census file, this can be often difficult to come by. In a perfect world, we would be able to determine exactly how many people are affected by a transit line or a new bike route, or how many people use libraries or parks.

We would also be able to determine how many people utilize urban spaces. Their emotional responses to certain urban stimuli would be recorded as well. This data is also difficult to come by and very few cities, if any, have data on it. While this is a barrier at the moment for further research, it also poses as an opportunity for increasing the bank of knowledge in this area of qualitative GIS.
