BFA Graduating Exhibition 2013
I Need All the Friends I Can Get
April 18 – April 27, 2013
Audain Gallery, Vancouver
The title, I Need All the Friends I Can Get, speaks to the ways in which networks and relationships inform, influence, and support the process of art making. The exhibition addresses the process of navigating the complex space between the positions of colleague and friend, emphasizing the inseparable connection between work and life, while asking: How do artists remain open to the possibility of intimacy, not only between each other but also between their own work and themselves?
I Need All the Friends I Can Get features work by José Arias, Emma Brack, Whitney Chow, Andrea Creamer, Brenna Holler, Tasia Mathot, Kate Mitchell, Ramineh Visseh, Vanessa Krystin Wong and Risa Yamaguchi.
Presented by the School for the Contemporary Arts at SFU.
