Event: SFU Galleries at the Vancouver Art/Book Fair

SFU Galleries is pleased to be participating in this year's Vancouver Art/Book Fair at the Vancouver Art Gallery. Now in its 4th year the VA/BF is an annual festival of artists' publishing featuring nearly 100 publishers, as well as a diverse schedule of public programming.
The event will mark the Vancouver launch of several recent publications produced by SFU Galleries including the first two titles of our new Critical Reader Series, Damian Moppett: The Bells (2014), with texts by Hollis Frampton, Sharon Kahanoff and Lisa Robertson and Negative Space: Orbiting Inner and Outer Experience(2015), edited by Antonia Hirsch and featuring contributions and texts by Theodor Adorno, Lorna Brown, Daniel Colucciello Barber, Elena Filipovic, François Laruelle, Olaf Nicolai, Lisa Robertson, Ana Teixeira Pinto and Wolfgang Winkler. In addition we'll be presenting Samuel Roy-Bois: Not a new world, just an old trick(2015), co-published with Carleton University Art Galleries and Oakville Galleries, with texts by Adrian Blackwell and Kathleen Ritter, as well as a selection of other titles including Liz Magor: The Mouth and Other Storage Facilities (2008), Jerry Pethick: Works 1968-2003 from Collections on Hornby Island(2011), and The Insurance Man: Kafka and the Penal Colony (2011).
