Friends of Simon Field Trips

The Annual Friends of Simon Fieldtrip brings together students, tutors and site coordinators from nearly all our sites across the lower mainland to the Simon Fraser University Campus for a day filled of fun, learning and imagination. Organized by tutors and program coordinators, students engage in various workshops and activities hosted across departments including in the Arts, Sciences, Communication, Art and Technology. Students get the opportunity to visit tutors at their school and an experience of post secondary education.

2024 Field Trip

The 2024 Field Trip was Friends of Simon's first fieldtrip since the annual event was put on pause since 2019. After a 5 year hiatus, it was incredibly exciting to have around 200 students attending from across the 17 elementary and high school sites that FOS does programming. Through participation in psychology research labs, candy genetics activities, a mural activity and more, students spent the day exploring campus and making new friends.
