Biography
Emir Fejzić is a doctoral student at the division of Energy Systems at KTH. His research focuses on the development of the European Climate and Energy Modelling Forum (ECEMF), including tasks such as modelling comparisons, scenario analysis and stakeholder engagement. Further research work includes the development of an electricity model with a representation of hydro cascade storage for the Drina River Basin, under the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) nexus framework. In collaboration with the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) he has worked on the topic of social impact considerations in urban circular economies.
He joined the ΔE+ Research Group at SFU as a visiting research scholar through the Mitacs Globalink Research Award. At SFU, he will develop a geospatial evaluation of non-hydro renewable energy resources for the Drina River Basin riparians. Additionally, the effects of climate change on these resources will be assessed.
Emir holds a Master of Science degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering and Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from KTH. He joined the division in April 2020 after finishing his master thesis titled “Renewable energy outlook for the Drina River Basin countries.
