Canadian College for the Certification of Professional Ergonomists

The Canadian College for the Certification of Professional Ergonomists is the certifying body for professionals wanting to practice Ergonomics in Canada. Although certification is not required by law, most organizations hiring Ergonomists are looking for this certification.

You must apply to the Board and meet their requirements for Education and Experience before you can be certified.  The Occupational Ergonomics Certificate has been designed to help you meet these requirements.  The link to the right brings you to an Excel spreedsheet with the CCCPE requirements and a listing of hours in each BPK course which will meet the rquirement.

Board of Certified Professional Ergonomists

The Board of Certified Professional Ergonomists is the certifying body in the United States.  Their certification process involves education requirements and a written exam.  Certification is recommended if you intend to work in the US. Note that other countries have their own certifying bodies.  Most qualifications are recognized internationally.

 

Centre for Registration of Euopean Ergonomists

European Ergonomists are to be found in most European countries. They carry the title Eur.Erg. after their name and the quality of their professional practice and their education has been peer-reviewed.
