SFU Seniors Lifelong Learners Society
OUR MISSION
To get people talking
We’re the non-profit student association serving the 55+ adult community at SFU. We have an elected Board of Directors, and an ever-growing corps of volunteers.
We speak up for – and to – today’s seniors. We carry the message of our age group to the University, to the community and to our fellow students.
And we have a lot of fun doing it.
Activities as varied as members’ interests
Lifelong Learners Society members decide for themselves what interests them. Then the Society helps make it happen.
Just a few of our current activities:
- Organizing social events ranging from coffee ‘meet-ups’ to vineyard tours and from island exploring to holiday season lunches
- Sponsoring Flashpoint forums on late-breaking global news
- Co-sponsoring free Saturday forums
- Providing targeted funding, bursaries and endowments through SFU’s Liberal Arts and 55+ Program
Above all, we help represent the interests and needs of our age group when serious decisions are made.
So, what would you like to do?
