How to Reuse an Existing CEEpoll
You can reuse an existing CEEpoll.
If the CEEpoll has been used and votes have been recorded, you will need to make a copy of it before using it again. Otherwise, the previous votes and results will carry over.
Step 1: Copy an existing CEE Poll into a new Canvas component
From the Rich Content Editor toolbar of the Canvas Component* that you are inserting the poll in, click the plug icon to bring up the apps menu.
*Assignments, Pages, Discussions, Announcements, etc.
Click on CEE Poll and it will bring you to the list of all your polls in your CEE Polls account.
IMPORTANT: If you click on the insert button before making a copy of the poll, the previous results will be copied over as well. To ensure your poll does not contain previous results, follow the next steps to make a copy of your poll and then reset the votes.
From the polls listing, select the poll that you want to reuse and click on the the three dots under Actions and choose copy to make a copy of the poll.
Step 2: Edit title and content
You will now see the editing screen of the poll you just copied. You can make any edits to the content or question as required.
You will need to edit the question titles, as they are automatically labelled “Copy of...”. It is recommended that you remove the words “copy of” and rename it with a term or version to differentiate it from the copied poll and avoid confusion.
Recommendation: Update the question title of the poll to keep all your polls organized within your polls listing.
When you are done editing, click the Save button at the bottom of the CEE Polls page to save your revisions.
Step 3: Insert the poll into the canvas component
After you have edited and saved the poll, you need to click the Insert button to insert it into the existing Canvas component.
Reset the poll
Previously inputted votes will remain in the poll unless you reset it. Click on Reset Votes to clear them.
After you have reset the votes, save and publish the Canvas component where you have inserted the existing poll so that students can access it.
