How to set up the Canvas mobile app on your iOS phone

1. Open the Canvas app on your iPhone by tapping on the Canvas app icon.

2. You will see a screen that says find your school or district

3. In the text box, type "canvas.sfu.ca" and click the arrow. Do not enter Simon Fraser University or it won't work

4. You will be redirected to the SFU Authentication page. To log in, you will need to type in your SFU Computing ID, type in your SFU computing password and then tap on the Sign In button

Instructure (the company that developed Canvas) will confirm that you are logging in to this app with your SFU Computing ID. Check the box that says "Remember my authorization for this service" [1]. Then tap on the Log In button [2]. 

That's it. You have successfully logged in to your SFU Canvas account. 

How to set up the Canvas Teacher mobile app on your Android phone

1. Open the Canvas Teacher app on your Android phone by tapping on the Canvas app icon. 

2. You will see a screen that says find your school or district

3. Tap on the text box and enter canvas .sfu.ca and click the arrow. Do not enter Simon Fraser University or it won't work

4. Enter your user name and password and click Sign In

5. Check beside where it says Remember my Authorization for this service and click log in

That's it. You have successfully logged in to your SFU Canvas account.
