Subcortical Analysis Pipelines
Quantitative analysis of sub-cortical nuclei in terms of shape, growth, and atrophy is an important tool when investigating neuro-degenerative disease.We have developed automated tools for automatic extraction of subcortical structures (segmentation), smoothing of manually-derived models (shape denoising), sub-division of nuclei for shape analysis (ROI sub-division), and machine-learning methods for shape-based discrimination (classification).
