A Global News video highlights the release of a new documentary called, Beyond Housing: "We're not ready for the shelf," which follows the lives of 7 Calgary seniors and their struggles to find housing. There is a rising number of older adults struggling to find permanent housing in Calgary and the goal of the documentary is to bring greater awareness to this pressing issue.

Lived experience adviser, Anne Cartledge, shares part of her experience with the Global News. When Anne lost her housing, she felt like there was nobody around to help her. She also talks about George Jacobs, one of the people highlighted in the new documentary, and the fact that he died alone, outside of the comfort of a home.
