David Higgins

David was born and raised in Victoria, B.C. During his late teens, he served in the Navy Reserves. His travel and sea interests took him Aussie, Africa, and South America. He lived in Costa Rica for 8 years becoming fluent in Spanish. His previous work experience was in major industries such as fishing, mining, forestry and construction. Although, his main business was in property development. His cornerstone relationship was, and is, with Michiko Kato for 34 years - a Japanese immigrant to Canada in 1965. She is a trained nutritionist, his best friend and third wife.
