Research Focus
Our primary research focus has been the development of advanced three-dimensional (3D) printing technologies for 3D structural electronics. We are leading the field of 3D printed circuit applications and developed the research area greatly supported by NSERC fundings. We have made significant contributions to the manufacturing aspects of 3D printed devices by 1) publishing journal papers with high impact (Joule, impact factor: 46, Advanced Materials, impact factor: 32) and high citation rates in the field of 3D printing of conductive cellulose composites (cited 100 times since 2016), 2) training a large group of highly qualified personnel (HQP), and 3) obtaining substantial financial support from various industrial programs. Also, the NSERC support have been crucial to create and maintain collaborations with leading institutions in the field of 3D printing technologies.
