Visit at Stanley Park with Dr. Selena Couture

For Dr. Selena Couture's second class, Couture led the students on a walk through Stanley Park, visiting the sites she referenced in her early class visit. The day's field trip ended at the Vancouver Park's Board where the class met with members of the board and discussed the unique restrictions on installing art within Stanley Park.
Dr. Selena Couture is an Assistant Professor at the University of Alberta. Her research focuses on Canadian Indigenous Theatre, Performance and Decolonizing practices; Land, Place Names and Performance; Indigenous Language Revitalization Practices; Colonial Performance and the Construction of Whiteness; Archival Practices, the Repertoire and Historiographic Method. She received her PhD in Theatre from the University of British Columbia.
