125 Thousand Litres of Space Tasks

The game is to design two separate, unique digital objects and to document these with a set of images that reveal their formal qualities.

There are three technical constraints on the two objects.

  1. The two objects must both fit within a cube of side length 5 metres.
  2. The two objects must have a combined volume of exactly 125 cubic metres.
  3. The two objects must not overlap: they must have a null intersection.

The above three constraints mean that the two objects are mutually exclusive and collectively exhaustive: they will entirely fill a 5 metre cube and will not overlap in space with each other.

Both objects are to be strong compositions in their own right. That is, each object should be an interesting sculptural work, in an of itself.

One object should be rendered in a transparent surface style. This will make the relationships between the two objects more clear when they are rendered together.
