Sage

Sage is an open source mathematics computing environment which combines numerous existing mathematics packages to form a powerful programming tool which rivals Maple and Mathematica. One of the goals of this program is to teach our students how to use this valuable program. This will begin in the first week with a mini crash course introducing Sage. We will continue using Sage in our education by using some of its powerful features to better understand graph properties. Then, later in the program, we will turn our attention to some unsolved problems in Algebraic Graph Theory, and again here we will turn to Sage to gather data, and possibly, even to solve! our questions.
