Re: ASCII error question
We did some more investigating and from the logs we were able to determine that there were calendar entries with improperly formatted email addresses as attendees.
We exported the account's ics file and could see that there was at least one calendar entry were the attendees address was in the format:
mailto:'EMAIL@DOMAIN.COM'
The single ticks ' around the email address are what causes the error.
We fixed this by exporting the ics, removing the ' around the address and then importing only the bad calendar event. It's a bit of a pain but it seems to work. It would be much easier if the organizer would fix this but the events we've seen so far have originated off campus.
The logged errors occur when the person opens their calendar and for anyone that is connected to their shared calendar.
The events we've seen so far appear to be from an Exchange server but we aren't sure if it's an Exchange problem or Outlook problem.
Thanks,
Doug
