Re: COS Recommendations for Higher Ed.



Here at the University of Guelph we went with the Eduperson classification (even though we don't distinguish services for all of them yet), and assign the COS on the basis of our central LDAP directory so in addition to default we have: faculty, student, staff, alum, member, affiliate, employee  We do not yet have library-walk-in as a COS, since we don't have those as accounts.   We do also have a test COS, named after our team, and a staff-extra-quota which still needs to be removed :-)

It's good to know about the upgrade delays associated with too many COS's. I didn't realize that.
