The 48th WINTER NUCLEAR AND PARTICLE PHYSICS CONFERENCE
Notes for Speakers

Talk Format

Contributed talks are 20 minutes including 3 minutes for discussion.

Invited talks are 30 minutes including 5 minutes for discussion, and should be dedicated to science graduate students not necessarily working in your field of expertise.

To keep the program on track, all talks will be given using one computer, and you will need to upload your talk prior to your session. Either:

  • Send your talk to corina_andreoiu@sfu.ca well in advance (at least 2 hours) of your session
  • Or, at the very latest, upload your talk via a memory stick prior to the session in which you are speaking.

The preferred file formats are PDF and PPT (although PDF is generally more platform-independent). Please ensure that your presentation works after uploading it. If you are planning on using conventional transparencies, please let us know well ahead of time (it would be best to scan them).

Abstracts

Abstracts prepared with your favourite editor should look like this PDF example, and should not exceed one page. The example also gives you more details. Please send both the source and the PDF file, as email attachments to corina_andreoiu@sfu.ca. The deadline for abstract submission is January 13, 2011.
