About me

I completed Ph.D. in Operations Research from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 1990. Currently I work as professor of operations research at Simon Fraser University Surrey. My primary research focus is discrete optimization and operations research applications. Some of the application areas we specialize include: transportation and logistics, scheduling, satellite mission planning, maritime transportation, optimization applications in healthcare, medicine, forestry, and mining.
