Creating Connections 5.0 Program
Our 2017 program underlines the value of diversity at multiple levels. To support individual change, many of our sessions are focused on providing women with the skills, knowledge and support to succeed. The connect/reconnect sessions provide opportunities for meeting new people and fostering a sense of community. Finally, through the ideas discussed by our keynotes, and developed in our panels, we hope to spark a change larger than ourselves.
Our Friday program serves as an enticing introduction to our conference. The Friday evening panel will tackle the hard hitting issue of why women are undervalued as leaders – an issue that affects the representation of women at all levels. This panel will feature a heavy-hitting line-up of leaders and executives, soon to be released! Make sure to stay for our reception, featuring hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar, to make valuable connections with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
The Saturday programming will be similar to 2015, and will have three tracks with three sessions in each. This year our track themes are Personal and Professional Development, Entrepreneurship and Advocating with Impact. Choose from any of the sessions to create your best conference experience. About our Sessions:
Panel Discussions: feature four or more panelists and a moderator. Panels will each have unique format characteristics, but you can expect to hear about the session subject from people with a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives. Most panels will include question and answer sessions at the end.
Interactive Workshops: at an interactive workshop, a facilitator will engage participants with the topic. There may be some prepared information, but be ready to actively contribute to the session, either through individual reflection, group work, practice, or other facilitated activities.
Connect / Reconnect Groups: are dedicated times for speed networking, enabling you to meet new people with whom you share an interest.
