(Re)Claiming the New Westminster Waterfront
Welcome to the (Re)Claiming the New Westminster Waterfront project
The (Re)Claiming the New Westminster Waterfront project collected stories about and from the men and women who worked on the waterfront in New Westminster, British Columbia between the end of World War II and 2015. This was a period of intense innovation in transportation and other industries in New Westminster. This collaborative research project captured the memories of workers who were part of the changes.
This website is a place to view and interact with the primary data collected and interpreted by the project team. We invite you to enjoy this website and use it to pursue your own interests in the history of New Westminster and its working waterfront.
The (Re)Claiming the New Westminster Waterfront Project gratefully acknowledges the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada for its funding.
