Biography

Cady completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Seattle University. During this time, she gained experience in various allied health settings as a physical therapy aid, personal trainer, and group fitness instructor. Here, she developed a deeper appreciation for the impact of brain diseases and movement impairments on daily life. Her experience working with a diverse range of patient populations motivated her to join the Neuromechanics Lab where she conducted research on age-related changes in hand function during her undergraduate studies. In the Sensorimotor Neuroscience Lab, Cady’s research investigates movement planning and decision making in dynamic environments during walking and reaching. When Cady is not studying movement, she is moving herself embarking on adventures in the snow, trees, or cities of beautiful British Columbia.
