Course: IAT 267 Introduction to Technological Systems

Description: Our group developed an educational children's toy named Kitchen Safety, designed to help kids learn about the hazards found in kitchens and teach them how to address these issues. We incorporated four sensors to manage three hazards, which children must correct to complete the tasks. A friendly dog character, Master Paco Poochie, will guide users through the tasks on the Processing display screen, helping them become master chefs. Master Paco Poochie will provide instructions and information about the hazards through a guided walkthrough gameplay style, and offer visual and audio feedback at each step. Once all tasks are completed correctly, the player will be awarded a PhD in kitchen safety!
