The Rescape Room

Course: IAT 222 Interactive Arts
Description: The Rescape Room was created for IAT 222 interactive art exhibition as a way to fully immerse participants in the obstacles that immigrants face in their journey to create a better life for them and their family. Each obstacle within the escape room mirrors the typical struggles of immigration, presenting puzzles and challenges that demand creativity, problem-solving, and empathy. From navigating language barriers to experiencing racial discrimination, participants will delve into the complexities of the immigrant experience. Through performative acting by the group members and thought-provoking scenarios, our exhibition invites you to step into the shoes of those who have went through similar experiences.
