Donuts & Dreams

The SCA's Ryan Tacata shared some great photos on his Instagram from Donuts & Dreams, the "free, pop-up donut shop" students from his inaugural "Social Studios" course ran at 312 Main in Vancouver. Participants were presented with a choice of three themed-flavoured donuts – Shit-Disturber, Daydreamer, and Makeover – and then invited to "dream up unconventional ways of effecting social change, fantastical uses of 312 Main, or dream-world transformations of the building" based on their choice. The results of this donut-based research will be used by the students to help produce a "video project envisioning an absurd, utopian future," to be screened at 312 Main on April 10, 2024. More info to come! See the images HERE.
