Leonardo lives
The faculty of applied sciences launched the Leonardo summer institute, a novel program designed to stimulate scientific engagement and leadership among PhD candidates by examining the risks, ethics and art of applied science. The first cohort of graduate students left lab and library behind for 12 days at MIT and other places to ponder issues at the intersection of public policy and science, and to connect with peers in other research disciplines. The goal: to produce broad thinkers who will become the future leaders of technological change.
