Nationally acclaimed conductor, composer and contemporary arts professor Owen Underhill earned a Juno nomination for best classical composition with "Love Songs," a track from his first solo CD, Celestial Machine.
The Globe and Mail newspaper called the recording "a beautiful disc, from one of the most thoughtful and effective West Coast composers."
Underhill's original music was widely heard across North America in Ballet British Columbia's recent productions of The Faerie Queen and Orpheus.
