Congratulations to this year's FASS Award recipients from Psychology!
We are excited to announce the following 2021 FASS Award recipients from the Department of Psychology:
FASS Dean’s Medals
FASS Dean's Medals are given in recognition of academic excellence in research, teaching, and service, with an emphasis on significant contributions while in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at SFU. Congratulations to Dr. Viljoen:
- Dr. Jodi Viljoen, Professor
- With an MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology from SFU, Viljoen’s research is aimed at improving services for adolescents in the justice system. Many adolescents engage in risky or illegal behaviour, and Viljoen’s work is aimed at developing appropriate interventions so that they can successfully resist criminal behaviour.
Cormack Teaching Awards
The FASS Cormack Teaching Awards recognize the passion that our teaching faculty bring to the classroom, the quality of their pedagogy and the value they bring to their students’ education and to the FASS teaching community at-large. Congratulations to our 2020 and 2021 recipients from Psychology:
