Synopsis

Reversible batteries are in higher demand than ever before, whether for use in cell phones, electric cars, and even solar power. Two parameters come to mind when assessing the strength of a battery: the storage capacity and the cycle efficiency. The issue with modern batteries is that they are still limited to very few full power cycles before a considerably large portion of their overall capacity is lost. In a study conducted in 2008{1}, graphene nanosheets and similar structures are used as intercalation compounds and are tested at different spacings in order to evaluate and optimize the capacitance and cycle efficiency.
