British Society for Research on Ageing - Student Section
The remit of the BSRA is to promote gerontology as a scientific discipline. If the BSRA is to be successful in this then we need to encourage those at the beginning of their scientific careers to consider ageing research. We feel that the development of a student section is vital to secure the future of ageing research for the next generation of gerontologists. Thus we have a number of benefits to attract students to join the society:
- We provide a half price membership fee for registered undergraduates or if the gross annual income is below £15,000.
- We provide bursaries to attend BSRA meetings provided they present at the meeting.
- We award prizes for the best poster or oral presentation at a BSRA meeting.
- We have a specific young members section in the BSRA journal 'Lifespan'.
