Slope
     Slope is an important factor for two reasons.  Soil entrainment and erosion by water will be minimized if slope is low.  Limiting the damaging effects of water erosion can be done by not farming on a high slope.  Secondly, ease of operating heavy equipment is an important factor. It can be difficult and dangerous seeding and harvesting on an excessive slope.  These reasons caused me to limit the maximum slope to 10 degrees.

Methodology

• After projecting "elev" to a more suitable projection ("elev2"), I reclassed it to give me elevation above sea level.
• I used the surface module on "elev2reclass" to give me the slope in degrees.  I called this "elev2reclassslope".
• I then used the FUZZY module (sigmoidal monotonically decreasing) on "elev2reclassslope" and got "slopefuzz".  I set 10 for control point d (the max slope in degrees). FACTOR.
