First, an increased amount of time would be required in order to incorporate moreplay spaces from more municipalities in Metro Vancouver. Expanding the study to takeplace over a larger period of time would enable more in-depth analyses.

In order to address the issues in differentiating play space typology during therating process, separate audit checklists could be created for different types of spaces.Additionally, because the audit checklist wasoriginally designed for 3 year olds, it is recommended that this be further updated tobetter reflect the needs of children aged 10 to 14 to provide more meaningful results andplayability scores for this age range.

Furthermore, it is recommended that questions addressing more than one feature be split, so as to garner more defined rating elements.
